Current Goings On!

I am sharing a picture of what my Secret Sister sent me for my July package. I am in a group of ladies who belong to Splitcoast Stampers. We exchange names and then send secret packages for 3 months to our SS's, then on the third month we reveal who we are. It is such a fun thing to do. I am still in Oklahoma visiting  my family. My granddaughter Lexie came with me, she is 14 and hasn't been out here since she was 8, so she in enjoying seeing family again. My Mom and I took Lexie to a book signing in Tulsa the other day, she is an avid reader and loves author P.C. Cast & Kristen Cast, series, A House of Night Novel, I have included a picture of Lexie with them. I purchased their new book which she had autographed along with one of her older ones. I also had a book autographed for my daughter Nickie and my niece Megan.  Lexie sure did have fun.  The hot weather is terrible, we have had triple digits for over 3 weeks from 101-110 you add the humidity to that and it is pretty miserable. I haven't been making any cards due to my M.S., which I am sure is due to the heat. Thanks for stopping by!

My April Image Finally

I finally finished my Image for our group of ladies who do a monthly challenge on SCS. Joanna sent this lovely image for the month of April and I was really late getting it finished due to some health issues. A Beautiful Saturday

I enjoyed a great Saturday with the Grandkids. We went to Austin's baseball game, then I took Gregg home to go to bed as he had worked night ship but stayed up to go to the 9am game. Lexie and I took John to the park and had a great time, then we went to Hometown Buffet for a late lunch. John calls icees cold freezes and he loves them. He is always saying that is what he wants to drink, they have those at the buffet we go to.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures of the grandkids.

Mom's Visit

My Mom is coming to visit, along with my niece Lindz. They live in Oklahoma and are coming so my niece can finish her portfolio for her college photography class. They will be here in Northern California for a week. I usually only get to see them once or twice a year, but last year I got to see them more than that. I am really excited that they are coming. I will have my Mom to stamp with which is alway alot of fun, I am going to have her show me how to do some stuff I have forgotten. My son is going to take my niece kyaking in Trinadad Bay which is a beautiful part of our ocean here. I am sure my mom will be posting to her blog while she is here. My Granddaughter's Tilda Card

I am in a swap that each month a group of ladies swap an image and make a card and then we all post said card and see all the different ways the same image is done. This was started by my Mom Linda and friend Donelda. It is a great way to see all the different ways the same image is used. My granddaughter Lexie, who is 14 saw my image and I explained what I was doing, and well, she wanted to join. This great group of ladies on SCS were more than welcoming to her. So here is her card. Here is a card that I finished today. I was in a hurry to finish it and trying to find a flower to match the color of the papers, but not enough time. I really have to get some kits together for some swaps I am in and one of my orders came today that I was waiting for. YEA!!! I also got some girfts for my S.S. So I am going to start stamping now!!!

Happy Early Valentines Day

I hope everyone has a Happy Valentines Day tomorrow. My husband has to work an evening shift tomorrow, so he took me out to eat last night. We went and at sushi at a very nice place on the waterfront overlooking the bay, our table was over looking the water, food was great.

I am posting a Valentines Day Card I made, it is made from a card kit that I recieved from my secret sister from SCS. It was a super kit, this is just one card I made, there is still plenty of supplies to make several more cards. She was very generous. I hope you like it. I was having some problems with some tremors in my hand, but I still think it turned out ok.

It has been sunny and beautiful here in the northern west coast. I am so glad to hear that the cold and freezing temperartures have left the midwest for now. (Texas and Oklahoma)

Well, I haven't been very good at keeping up my blog. We are in Eureka now, which is in Northern California, on the coast about 70 miles north of the Oregon border. I have been pretty busy getting my stamping area set up here. I don't have all of my stuff here as we are staying with my son and daughter in law for now. We will be remodeling our house and then putting it on the market soon.

I am posting the first card I have made in awhile, and you can tell it has been quite awhile. It was for my daughters birthday which was on the 4th of Feb. I hope she liked it. I recieved the image, paper ribbon, flower and sentiment in a SS swap on SCS, I am pretty sure from Jessica. I used my own MS punch and rhinestones. I think it may be too much, but it was already done and so I left it.

Back on the Northern Coast of California

Well, back home from Mom's since end of December. Sure did have a great time with family. I need to get some cards made, but been under the weather since I got home, hopefully that will change soon. I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year!
